What does the surgery involve?

The facelift, also known as rhytidectomy or facelifting, is a surgical technique that involves the correct repositioning of the facial structures that over time acquire a dull and drooping appearance, as well as the tensioning of the skin of the face and neck to reduce wrinkles and skin laxity. The aim of the facelift is to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the face by stretching the skin and facial muscles.

Am I a candidate for this surgery?

When it comes to performing a facelift, the surgeon has to take into account not so much the age but the appearance of the patient's face and their overall health status. In fact, both men and women over the age of 70 can undergo this procedure. Generally, most requests for facelifts come from patients between the ages of 50 and 70, but if physical and health conditions allow it, the intervention can also be performed later in life.

We perform over 400 surgeries each year, and our best introduction is the results of our patients. We invite you to discover some of the stories behind the HAV experience.
